Bach Flower Therapy – Restore Balance, Naturally
Bach Flower Therapy is a gentle yet powerful healing system developed in the 1930s by Dr Edward Bach, a Harley Street physician who believed that emotional wellbeing is at the heart of physical health. Drawing on the natural essence of 38 different flowers, each remedy corresponds to a specific emotional state or personality trait. Rather than treating symptoms alone, Bach Flower Remedies aim to address the root emotional causes of imbalance—helping to restore harmony across mind, body, and spirit.
The Bach remedies rank amongst the subtle methods of healing such as Homeopathy and anthroposophical medicine. They do not act via the physical body but on more subtle levels, directly influencing the energy system. Bach believed there were no diseases only sick people. Therefore this method of healing treats the person and not just the symptoms of disease.
Flower remedies work on any deep disharmonies within the patient and, in so doing, pave the way to recovery from the physical symptoms and therefore get to the root of the problem, restoring mental, emotional and spiritual balance. The state of mind provides the guide to which remedy or group of up to six remedies are necessary.
