Emma Maree

Humanistic Counsellor

Emma is an Integrative Humanistic Counsellor with a BA (Hons) in Humanistic Counselling and is a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). In addition to her private practice, she has worked within local charitable organisations, supporting both adults and young people aged 16+. She has experience helping clients navigate a wide range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, bereavement and loss, relationship difficulties, trauma, and significant life transitions.

At the heart of Emma’s practice is a deeply person-centred approach. She believes that you already hold the inner resources needed for growth and healing; sometimes they simply need space, understanding, and the right support to emerge. Emma offers a warm, accepting, and non-judgemental environment where you can speak openly and feel genuinely heard. Working at your own pace, she explores your experiences through thoughtful listening, gentle reflection, and compassionate curiosity.

Alongside talking therapy, Emma may gently integrate additional approaches within her humanistic framework, such as creative therapy or inner child work. There is no pressure or expectation, the focus is on your experience and what it may uncover.

She believes that working collaboratively in this way can help you connect with and better understand the parts of yourself shaped by your unique life experiences.
