Nurturing Skin Naturally
A 2½ hour practical workshop with The Drovers Daughter
Our skin is our largest organ, and it can often be the first place we notice when something within the body is out of balance.
Join herbalist and nutritional therapist Kate Scott of The Drovers Daughter for a relaxed and informative 2½ hour workshop exploring how we can gently support healthy skin through nutrition, lifestyle and natural topical care.
Drawing on Kate’s experience as a herbalist and nutritional therapist, together with clinical observation hours spent in the Dermatology Department at Whipps Cross Hospital, we’ll look at some of the common skin concerns people experience and explore the many factors that can influence skin health.
We’ll discuss:
Diet and nutrition — including the relationship between digestion, the gut microbiome, inflammation and healthy skin.
Lifestyle and wellbeing — looking at stress, sleep, hormones and other everyday influences on the skin.
Herbal support — exploring herbs traditionally used to support healthy skin from within.
Natural topical care — discovering gentle oils, infused herbs, balms and other natural preparations that can be incorporated into a simple skincare routine.
Different skin concerns — including dry and sensitive skin, eczema-prone skin, acne and blemishes, redness and irritation, and other common problems.
There will be plenty of opportunity to ask questions, share experiences and learn how to approach skin health from a more holistic perspective — considering the skin, the body and the lifestyle as a whole.
This is not about complicated routines or a cupboard full of products. It’s about understanding your skin a little better and discovering some simple, natural ways to nurture and nourish it!
